Although it is considered a trekking route, it must be remembered that the passage for the Doss D'Abramo takes place along the trail 638A, an equipped path that goes beyond the rocky belt to the north-west and descends towards the rocky channel and the south ledge. east, served by steel cable. Here it is recommended to use suitable equipment (embedding, safety lanyard, helmet). It is still possible to avoid the climb to the Doss D'Abramo following the trail 636 which bypasses the summit from the north using a more comfortable path that passes under the northern walls of the summit and connects with the route of the tour.
The route offers magnificent views of the Brenta, Adamello, Presanella, Carè Alto, Alpi di Gavardina, Garda Lake, Val del Sarca, Vallagarina, Val d'Adige. Ultimately a real balcony on the Trentino a stone's throw from the capital.

CASTLES
IN TRENTINO

Castles of Trentino are enveloped in mystery and scattered throughout the region.
Trentino is a region rich in castles, fortresses and ruins of ancient buildings. Of course, the location of the territory, between the Germanic lands and the Po Valley, have favored the construction of the castles of Trentino over the centuries.
Many of them are in strategic positions with respect to the valleys and the paths that cross the Alps, ideal for the control of traffic and the defense of possessions.

CASTLE OF BUONCONSIGLIO

The largest monumental complex in the region. Until a few centuries ago the residence of the bishops of Trento, it is located in the historic center of the capital, in a slightly higher position than the city center.

CASTEL THUN

Located on a beautiful hill with panoramic views in Val di Non, it was home to the powerful Thun family.
A postcard castle.

CASTLE OF ARCO

CASTLE OF TOBLINO

It is one of the most photographed castles in Trentino. A romantic castle, built on a small arm of land that stretches in the heart of the lake, among vineyards and ancient woods.

CITY OF TRENTO

Trento is an Italian town of 115,368 inhabitants, the capital of the homonymous province and of the Autonomous Region of Trentino-Alto Adige / Südtirol.
And in winter Trento becomes the Alpine capital of Christmas, thanks to one of the most renowned and appreciated markets.
Set in the heart of the Alps, the city developed at the time of the Romans. Over the course of its millennial evolution Trento has been able to attract elements of very different traditions, coming from the North and South Europe, merging them into a truly unique mix, so much so that it was chosen as the seat of the Counter-Reformation Council in the period 1545-1563 ( Council of Trent).
From the cultural point of view the city offers a very wide range of alternatives: from the history with the capital "s" that is breathed in the Buonconsiglio Castle to the particular aspects of the life of the Church presented at the Diocesan Museum, from the thousand scientific initiatives and events of the brand new MUSE Science Museum to modern art of Palazzo delle Albere. Do not miss the galleries of Piedicastello and the Doss Trento, where you can immerse yourself in the history of Trentino and the Alpine troops and visit the mausoleum dedicated to Cesare Battisti.
Not to mention Piazza del Duomo ... In the past it was also called Piazza Grande, Piazza Comune, Piazza Italiana, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III, Piazza Cesare Battisti.
It has been called one of the most beautiful urban squares in the world. Without a doubt it is one of the most characteristic and polychrome. Its scenographic effect is truly surprising and harmoniously accompanies the coloring of the buildings that surround it, with their impulsive architectural line enhanced by three sequences of four - sixteenth century porticoes. It is the heart of the historic center and was the hall of civic and religious life of the Alpine city.

CASTLE OF BUONCONSIGLIO

Built in the thirteenth century, it has hosted the city's bishops for five centuries. The oldest structure is represented by the Castelvecchio (XIII century), then rebuilt. Next to it was built by the will of Bernardo Clesio the Great Palace, decorated by Romanino and Dosso Dossi, then put in direct communication with the ancient building through the Giunta Albertiana. Torre Aquila, oriented towards Aquileia, preserves an important fresco of the International Gothic, the Cycle of the Months, perhaps attributable to the master Wenceslas of Bohemia.

MUSEUM OF S.A.T.

The S.A.T. Museum, dedicated to the history of the Tridentine Alpinists Society, is located on the first floor of the SAT building in Via Manci.
At the Trento airport in Mattarello the "Gianni Caproni" aeronautical science and innovation museum was set up, dedicated to the Caproni engineer. In the museum there are a series of aircraft built between 1910 and 1980, of which 9 are unique in the world.
The important Underground Archaeological Space of the Sas is a large archaeological area that has brought to light houses, public buildings and infrastructures of the Roman Tridentum.
